How to know if the current Windows 10 was upgraded of a Windows 7 or 8 to Windows 10, without view the manufacturer's brand and model?

Hi. I have a Windows 10. And I want upgrade it a W11. But before I want know if the current OS (Windows 10) comes of a upgrade of W7/8 to W10 without look the manufacturer's brand and model. This is possible since the CMD/Powershell, or other method?

You can't upgrade directly from Windows 8.0 to Windows 10. To upgrade from Windows 8.0, you must first install the Windows 8.1 update.

Once a computer's operating system has been upgraded to Windows 10 it may be able to be upgraded to Windows 11 in a supported or unsupported fashion,

The original version that had been installed no longer impacts the upgrades success or failure.

Prior versions of Windows by default are deleted within 10 days of an upgrade:

There is a command that can display the original product key.

Whether this is or is not useful in finding out whether the Windows was 7 or 8 or 8.1 is unclear.

Thank you for your answers.

I don't want update of W8 to W10. I want know if the current OS Windows 10 in the past the same machine was W8, and was upgraded to W10. WIth a command line or somehow. This is possible? Thank you very much

Do you have a \windows.old directory? If so, you could check the file properties and Product Version. (windows 8= 6.2, windows 7 = 6.1)
