Remove domain from another account, but stuck at the email verification step

AS you may be aware Rackspace Exchange hosing is down, we have long had an O365 tenant ID. Trying to add my external domain to the tenant throws the "We can't add this domain to your account because other people have already signed up for ‎Microsoft 365‎ using an email address ending in" error, since the Rackspace service is down I cant receive emails (duh) so I cant get past the email verification step.
Is there any way I can get out of this endless loop?

    Since your issue is beyond our support, in order to resolve the issue more effectively, we recommend that you contact Rackspace or contact your domain provider to remove your domain name from Rackspace.
