Hello Everyone,
I am trying to get help with setting up Active Directory (On-Premises). Can someone please tell me how much the cost will be and what kind of license I would need to buy to run the Active Directory?

I have a start up business with over 100 Peoples, But I want to make active directory to help create account and other stuff for the employee, can you please tell me what are the requirement to set up an Active Directory? Like what do I need to buy so IT people can help me set those up? I know if I ask them, they will tell me, but I want to know the cost of an on-premises active directory from here.
So far, I don’t have any equipment, but I am willing to buy them at any cost. Please list down the requirement of on-premises (window server) active directory that needs. All the hardware and licenses and server etc.
Please also tell me how much an IT person charges for an on-premises Active Directory. If you write me a list that would be really helpful.

If you can also help me, write down the cost of Azure Active Directory, it will also be helpful.

Thank you.

Well, you'll need an operating system license for each physical server installed. Then also plan on either some user or device Cals. A Windows Server CAL is a license that grants access Windows Server. CALs are used in conjunction with Microsoft Windows Server OS licenses to allow Users and/or Devices to access and utilize the services of that windows server

    • User CALs allow a single user access to Windows Server from an unlimited number of devices
    • Device CALs allow an unlimited number of users to access Windows Server from a single device
    • CALs are licensed to access servers of the same level and below. (not forward compatible)

    Some pricing mentioned here.
