Microsoft Bookings - ability to reschedule/cancel meetings expires after a day

When a client first books a meeting via our Microsoft Bookings link, they receive a confirmation email. You can click on the 'reschedule' button in this email and you're redirected to a landing page where you can cancel or reschedule the booking.
However, if you click on the button the following day, the cancel/reschedule options are no longer available on the landing page. The only option is to create a new booking. This is resulting in multiple duplicate bookings, wasting a lot of time as colleagues join calls that the client is no longer planning to attend, but haven't been able to cancel.
Why does the ability to reschedule or cancel calls disappear after less than 24 hours?
