AD Guest user type - need to resend invitation

This guest appears to already have a Microsoft account (assuming personal since gmail account) and claims never to have received the invitation to our work 365 environment. In AD, I see:

User Sign-ins = 0
User type = Guest
Invitation accepted = Yes (therefore no "Resend Invitation" button/link)
Source = Microsoft Account

So, how do I re-send? How does this guest access our resources?
