Cannot get O365 Contacts to sync with Outlook for Mac Contacts

I have all contacts in O365 online Contacts. I have a copy of these on my device in Outlook for Mac. But these do not sync while email and calendar does. How do I get the contacts to sync? This is a very frustrating issue and I cannot find a way to have Outlook for Mac Contacts download/sync from O365... Help please. Thanks.

Hi @Anthony L ,

What's the version of your Outlook for Mac(Outlook>About Outlook)? Do you have the latest updates installed on the computer?
Click Help> Check for updates and check if the problem gets resolved.

Besides, it is recommended you try creating a new profile, which will create a new database and re-download your email from the server. You can rename your old profile or set the new profile to be your default then re-add your account. See: Manage profiles or identities in Outlook for Mac

I am running Outlook for Mac v 16.67 (221113000)
The email and calendar are syncing with office.com and with Outlook for iPhone with no problems. The issue is only on contacts. I only have one mailbox in use on Outlook and only one Contacts folder (over 2k contacts). When I add a contact to office.com it does not sync to Outlook for Mac even after restarting etc.

I just switched back to Classic Outlook mode from New Outlook and in the old mode all contacts are visible. Hmm. Strange. I would prefer to not have to use the old Outlook view on Outlook for Mac, but I need my contacts to work. So unless anyone knows a fix to this issue of contacts not saving and syncing in New Outlook, I will stick to old/classic Outlook for Mac...

According to my research, some of these will be available in the new Outlook experience later this year.
