I am trying to watch some of the course materials for the Azure Fundamentals courts, the video player is not loading the video and says
"Sorry, this video cannot be played."
are there any restrictions to watching the content as far as being in the office, or being on a VPN? I am currently VPNd in

It looks like we're both looking at the same page so let's do some troubleshooting:
I'm using a pretty vanilla edge browser, no adblockers, i cant speak specifically to any firewall rules
working from home I have a stable connection so I dont suspect that it is that
the youtube video that you linked to does work yes

I'm testing on vanilla Edge as well and with no adblockers or firewall rules to speak of I'm curious about location. I'll create some VMs in different regions to see if that triggers anything.

Just checking in to see if you were able to get the video to work. I did test the video on some fresh VMs I created in the US and SE Asia using a couple different browsers (including Edge and Chrome). Everything was a vanilla setup so there shouldn't be any issues there.
That likely means there's something that's been configured on your end that we'd need to troubleshoot. Looking at common culprits after browsers, adblockers, and firewalls, there are a couple things to consider like trying a hard refresh (Ctrl + F5) to make sure you are loading the most recent video, looking at possible VPN interference, and even disabling hardware acceleration in the browser.
I suspect the quickest way to see what you are running into would be to look at the Network tab in your browser's developer tools after you refresh the page and then attempt to play the video.
For the time being, I included a link to an older version of the video which is still mostly the same. Let me know if I can be of more help. I'd love to get to the bottom of this!

I encountered a similar problem where the frame would stay white and nothing would load. I managed to solve it on all chrome and edge by right clicking and reloading the frame.

This does not appear to be an issue specific to the site, as I've confirmed that the video plays on new Windows 10 VMs in the US as well as SE Asia on multiple browsers including Edge and Chrome.
Update: A solution has been reported from @Valentin Strauss :
I encountered a similar problem where the frame would stay white and nothing would load. I managed to solve it on all chrome and edge by right clicking and reloading the frame.
