Logic App Customer connector Error

I created a custom Connector to convert a SOAP service to a REST service. When I edit it with the soap service wsdl url, I got the error below:

Can you please tell me where I shall look into?

Hello @Betty Xu (Yun) (202) - Thanks for reaching out! It seems that Logic Apps is not able to connect to the WSDL URL. If the WSDL is running an on-premise VM, you'll need to install On Premise Date Gateway & create the custom connector with the "Connect via on-premises data gateway" checkbox marked, like in this blog post: https://mlogdberg.com/logicapps/custom-connector-via-onpremgateway

One more question (it could sound stupid):

if the on-premise VM moves to Azure, do I still need to install the Gateway? As we plan to move the VM box to Azure.

@Betty Xu (Yun) (202) Yes, you would still need to install the OPDG even if the VM is hosted on Azure. I recommend doing it that way first (especially if this is a mission-critical workflow) and prioritizing making sure everything works, which follows the Lift & Shift Migration guidance. After the IaaS move is completed & tested successfully, as the next step in migration guidance, you might consider further cloud-optimizing the workload that your VM is responsible for. There are many choices in the Azure PaaS tier: WebApps, Functions, Logic Apps, APIM, AKS, Container Apps, etc.
