Migrate large file server

Question

Hi,

We have a virtual Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard that is a file server.
This server has a F:\ drive that is a separate vhdx size of 64TB.

We are going to migrate this server to Windows Server 2022, but we need to do something about the large vhdx file.
We often have troubles when it comes to backup, and we are also synchronizing this server over to another Hyper-v host, but this sync is always also a problem since the disk is so big.

So looking for suggestions on how to migrate this server over to something that would work.

Would you for example create a new VM, add 7x10TB vhdx disks and use robocopy to copy over the data ?

By a DELL / HP / Lenovo Enterprise NAS box of somekind ?

Any comments, or suggestion or experience regarding this would be nice
