PDF not opening in Preview

When I click on a PDF I made in MIcrosoft Word I get an about:blank message and my pdf goes to downloads. I am no longer allowed to preview it.

    Hi @Dummies on the Run ,

    Could you please check the Office version number and Office name?

    Does this issue occur with other computers?
    For more details, please take a screenshot of the interface after opening one PDF file.

    Besides, do all PDF files can not opening via your Word?
    I suggest you go to Properties, switch "Open with" to one browser application, then click on one PDF file for a check.

    Which application is set as the default for PDFs?

    1. You should first go to Settings > Application Settings. Uncheck the box for PDF Viewing. 2) If that does not work, then in Adobe, go to Edit > Preferences > Internet and look under the Web Browser Options you will need to make sure you have it set to "allow web viewing.
