Extend Width of Hero Card or Office 365 Connector Card in Teams

Question

I'm working on a Teams messaging extension that unfurls links to our domain. I'm using either a Hero card or an Office 365 connector card as I will need to display a preformatted text that includes a code block. Now the problem is since Hero cards and O365 cards seem to have fixed widths in Teams, some of the text I need to display overflows past the boundaries of the card.

I know I can set the width of Adaptive cards to full in Teams but using them isn't an option as they don't have support for HTML or preformatted text. Is there a way to widen Hero or Office 365 cards?

There doesn't seem to be any way to enlarge the width of Hero or Office 365 cards.
