Hi,

In Background processes (Task Manger), most of time, I see memory usages by
Antimalware Service Executable (Microsoft Defender Antivirus Service) is between 120 MB and 130 MB.

Sometimes it goes up to 180 MB. Can its memory usages be decreased? If yes, please let me know, how?

With Regards
NndnG

    Hi.
    I can understand that you want to control the memory usage of Microsoft Defender Antivirus Service.
    You can try the following steps:

    • Win+R, input "gpedit.msc";
    • Click "Computer Configuration" > "Administrative Templates" > "Windows Components" > "Windows Defender Antivirus Program" > "Scan" > "Specify the maximum CPU percentage used during scanning" > set the value of the specified percentage and click "OK" .

    Hope the information is helpful.
