Changing Teams Channel Privacy Settings

Question

Can we please get an enhancement to make it possible to change the privacy settings on an individual channel? Not being able to change a private channel to public is really burdensome. I try to use private channels to develop items like bots and integrations within a channel before other members can see it, and I'd love to be able to flip it to public once I feel like the channel is ready for others to join. Having to manually recreate another channel just to be public is a nuisance.

Flexibility in channel privacy settings would be a huge quality of life improvement.

At the moment, we don't have the option to switch channel mode. The only way to have a private channel is to create it from the beginning.
To get this feature more quickly, I have found a feedback in Teams UserVoice and you could vote for it. Many features of our current products are designed and upgraded based on customers’ feedback. With requirements like this increase, the problem may well be released in the future. Thanks for your understanding and support.
