MS teams directory status showing on-premises for some users

Hello

Please i need your help on this issue.

We don’t have On-premises servers for Lync, all users moved to MS teams Online but still this user Directory status showing On-premises.

Recently we have created the External access policy for specific users, but access is not working for one of the users while checking the user directory status showing On-premises and external access is working fine for those whose directory status showing ONLINE

    Hi @Iniobong Nkanga

    To resolve this problem without SFB servers, login to on-premise active directory, change attribute msRTCSIP-DeploymentLocator of the affected user to “sipfed.online.lync.com”

    Wait for the AD changes to sync with cloud, then you should notice that directory status of the user in Teams Admin Center will now report as ‘Online’.
