Hi everyone, hoping someone can help me.

I have created a sharepoint list and have created an edit form to be able to have users editing requests when they need to.

The issue I have is that when the edit form opens it only opens on the first row of the list.

How do I choose a row to edit when the form is opened.

Thanks

    Based on your description, I understand that you want to choose which item to edit in the newly created SharePoint Designer edit item form.

    Through communication with development engineer, when you open the edit form of the first item and try to use codes to automatically populate values in the columns of other items, the form submitted for update is also the first item. Sorry for that your requirement cannot be achieved.

    Hi Emily,

    Mnay thanks for your reply and answer.

    This isn't really helpful as we want the user to be able to click the form and be able to choose their request to edit.

    We don't want it to be just the one row able to edit via the form.

    Is there any other possible way to do this via the list and an edit form?

    Really need this sorted this week for my workplace.

    Billy

    @Emily Du-MSFT thanks for your reply. So I really need to find a way to create an edit form that can edit any row in the form - are we able to connect and possibly try and develop something or create something so I know how to do it?

    Surely there must be a way to do it.

    @Billy Morley

    I found an article about how to SharePoint auto populate column values based on another column for your reference.
