Azure Migrate appliance Protocol

Question

Hi Everyone,
My client has some concerns while deploying Migrate appliance on his on-prem network. He wanted to know about ports and protocols being used by Appliance. I got the port information from Microsoft Learn but found nothing about protocols. Can someone help me with this information?

Hi Saad,

Are you migrating from VMware, Hyper-V or physical servers?

For discovery the appliance use:

• TCP/443 for vCenter
• WinRM port 5985 for Hyper-V
• WinRM port 5985 (Windows) and TCP/22 (Linux) for physical servers

For sending data the appliance use TCP/443.
