Azure synapse link for postgresql on Azure

Question

In HTAP architecture is there a Azure synapse link for postgres on Azure yet? When is it expected? Instead of Azure SQL database or SQL server, we are interested in learning to know if a synapse link could be implemented for Postgresql on Azure. If this is not possible, what is a preferred workaround?

Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.

Currently Azure Synapse link only supports Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL/SQL and Dataverse.

Hence the answer is No. There is no Azure Synapse Link for Azure Database for Postgres SQL.

Workaround: As a workaround you may explore Azure Data Factory or Azure Synapse Analytics Pipelines as it has dedicated connector for Azure Database for Postgres.
