monitoringhost.exe not running

I have tried everything I can find on the internet with no success. When the services are started the monitoringhost exe starts and runs for 15 seconds and dies. No good info from the event log. I tried every step in this article.
https://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/52200.scsm-troubleshooting-monitoringhost-exe-no-longer-runs-and-connectors-not-working.aspx

I deleted all my connectors. I copied registry key info from CurrentControl001 with no luck. This is my QA environment (thank god), but I really would like to figure out what is causing this so if it happens in the prod I will know the fix. Any suggestions welcome.
At one point I uninstalled SCSM. Using the same database I restored the key and reinstalled SCSM. Got me back where I was, so no help there.

Would be helpful to include version. SCSM 2016 7.5.7487.0
I have tried running the monitoringhost.exe directly from the SCSM directory with the same results using different accounts as well.
    monitoringhost version 8.0.10910

I did search and found no other instances of this file on the system
    Thanks for the reply

If the troubleshooting guide is nit helping:

Wich version of SCSM are you running in your environments?

Could you please compare the versions of monitoringhost.exe on your environments?
    All are the same version?

I've seen this at one customer so far: He installed a newer version of SCOM Agent on a SCSM server which brings a different version of monitoringhost.exe ... which was not compatible with the origin SCSM monitoringhost.exe.

    Maybe this is helpful.
