Hello, I'm on the Describe Azure Compute and Networking Services, and experiencing issues on module 3 - Create an Azure VM. I'm unable to create one, despite running all the commands.

Hi,

Before entering the commands, please make sure the sandbox resource group name is updated in the exercise. For example, the first command should have resource group name similar to the picture below (your resource group will have different text after learn-):

When you entered the az vm create command in the cloud shell window on right, what is the precise error message and/or text output?

Before trying again, you will need to activate another sandbox since your previous one has expired by now.

This is the feedback I'm getting after entering the issued command on the module

But this is not an error message. This is just a warning or at least a hint.

Where the Azure portal or Azure CLI stores your ssh-keys, also it reminds you of a deprecated feature (Public IPs will be migrated from BASIC to PREMIUM in the future).

So just from your screenshot, I expect everything to run fine, and your deployment should succeed.
How does the execution of this command end?
Can you share a screenshot of the entire output?

Hi,

That output you are seeing is normal and expected. I'm assuming you cut off the rest of the output when you made your screenshot? There should be more text below where it says things like "powerState": "VM running", "publicIpAddress": "<ip address>", etc. Having it show VM running, valid public ip address, etc., are things you can look at as confirmation that VM was created okay.

Go ahead and activate a new sandbox, re-do step 1 to create a new vm and then this time continue with the exercise by copying and pasting the command for Nginx. After the Nginx command completes go ahead and proceed on through the next units so that you can make it to the next exercise (unit 9) before your sandbox expires again. There is time to read through the units, just keep in mind that after you create the VM in Unit 3 you have less than an hour to get to Unit 9 and complete the tasks there as well.

In other words, don't take a break in between Unit 3 and Unit 9 otherwise when you arrive on Unit 9 your existing sandbox/VM will be gone and the tasks there will fail. If this happens, FIRST re-do the steps from Unit 3 by copying/pasting each command from Unit 3 and executing in the Cloud Shell window for Unit 9, then proceed with the Unit 9 tasks.

After refreshing my sandbox, running the unit 3 commands, and those for unit 9 this is how my console looks like.
I didn't receive the error message nor IP address to proceed
