I am not able to access Our UI after removing the Vnet of The APIM, we are about lessen the cost by removing the vnet, i was told to update the application gateway back end settings to see if the UI might be Loaded. Can someone help me what should i update in this Backend Settings

I understand that you are trying to configure APIM behind an App Gateway and have removed the VNet from APIM for cost cutting.VNet is a free resource. May I ask if there are other requirements for removing the VNet Integration
- When you had VNet integration, what is the domain you were using in the HostName?
- Is it Dev or Gateway?
- I suspect that the Hostname you were using is still pointing to a Private IP and not actually pointing to the Public IP of the APIM (as you have removed the VNet)
- From the VNet where App Gateway is deployed, can you please do a
nslookup <GatewayFQDN>
nslookup <DevFQDN> and share the results? - What is the exact error message you are receiving when you access the AppGateway IP?
- From AppGateway blade, select Backend Health and share what's the backend status.

2022-12-29T03:17:52.33+00:00 I tried pointing the Hostname to the Public IP then i tried to access the UI again and it worked but some of the details on the Dash Board is not showing i dont know why, Do you have recommendation for configuring it. Sorry for my late reply i just saw yor comments. Thank you

- Can you confirm if you are referring to the Public IP of the APIM?
- If you bypass the Application gateway and directly access the APIM, are the dashboards displaying as expected?

I take it that you have mapped the IP of the APIM to the hostname you have added in the backend of the App Gateway.
Please correct me if I am wrong.You mentioned that if you bypass the AppGateway, then you cannot access the UI.
- Doesn't this mean the issue is with the APIM itself?
- Per my understanding, APIM should be directly accessible via Internet even without App gateway? - is this observation incorrect?
