Word doesn't show on screen

Hello,

This error message pops up when our program (Software from my Company) wants to generate a Word Document. According to Task Manager Word is open, but I don't see it on Screen. The customer already tried to restart the PC and I'm not aware of any Updates since he has this issue. When we try to open the document manually the same error occurs. In the Document is only Text, no Graphic, no Macros, nothing. Sometimes it works, sometimes this error occurs (with the same Document).

A fatal error occurred the last time it was opened.

It happend with Office 365 and Office 2019

Is the file format .rtf as shown in your image?
Please go to Word > File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > File Block Settngs, make sure the file format is not blocked.

I also suggest you run Word in safe mode to have a check.
Run winword /safe in Run Dialog, then open this file.

If nothing helps, please backup this file, and then Open and Repair this document.

Update: The issue was solved with an Microsoft Update.
