Can't sign into Azure portal/MS Authenticator doesn't work

I have a paid Azure account, but can't sign in. This appears to be my only support mechanism because opening a ticket requires me to sign in. Anyways, after entering a UN and PW, the website asks me to open MS Authenticator. I've used it before, but now it's not working. Opening Authenticator does nothing. Nor can I get a code from Authenticator. Authenticator shows my Azure AD account, so the account appears to be linked. Either way, when I attempt to add an account to Authenticator, it takes me through the same authentication process which ends with the instruction to open authenticator. Likewise, when I attempt to bypass Authenticator by clicking the option that the app is not available, I'm directed to open Authenticator. This last part would almost be funny if I didn't actually need access to my Azure account. Any help would be appreciated.

I did attempt to reinstall authenticator and re-add the account

Ok, well this wouldn't work. An admin for your school or work account will need to reset it for you. If a personal microsoft account then there's nothing you can do besides attempt a recovery.

As to azure you can reach out to the data protection team to get some other account as access.

Did you reinstall it? If so you can restore from backup (assuming there was one) but make sure no accounts have been added to the newly install app. Then sign on with recovery account to do the restore.

You can recover your account credentials from your cloud account, but you must first make sure that the account you're recovering doesn't exist in the Microsoft Authenticator app. For example, if you're recovering your personal Microsoft account, you must make sure you don't have a personal Microsoft account already set up in the authenticator app. This check is important so we can be sure we're not overwriting or erasing an existing account by mistake.

    https://account.microsoft.com/

maybe you disabled all but authenticator for login. try can't access your account flow.
