Authenticator now is 8 digits instead of 6 digits. Upgraded to new iphone 14 and it changed. I need it back to 6 digits. Can someone help?

    Hi @Ray H

Try the following (answer by ChrisArmstrong-7128):

This is what worked for me after countless hours of pulling out hair... when trying to get the MS Authenticator app to give me a 6 digit code on iPhone 14 pro

If you have the account already on MS Authenticator then remove it!

    1. Goto your MS account https://account.microsoft.com/
    2. Scroll down until you find "Security", expand the section and find and click the link "Additional security options".
    3. A little way down the page click the link "Add a new way to sign in or verify".
    4. Select "Use an app" from the popup dialog.
    5. click the link in the body text "set up a different Authenticator app." and you will be presented with a QR code
    6. Open the MS Authenticator app on your phone
    7. click the "+" to add an account, then click "Other (Google, Facebook, etc)
    8. Scan the QR code.

    Done!
