Validation Process not working

Hi All,
I have a validation task before a COPY Activity, to check if file exists, if it doesn't exist do not perform the COPY Activity , if the file exists process the COPY Activity, for some reason it is not working. Please help me . Attached is the screen shot for the settings.

- File exists, Validation does not find it, Copy does not run
- File exists, Validation finds it, Copy does not run
- File exists, Validation does not find it, Copy tries to run anyway
- File does not exist, Validation does not find it, Copy does not run, Pipeline reports failure
- Validation never stops running
- Validation reports failure
- Validation reports time-out
If it is none of these, please detail what you expect to happen, vs what is happening.
