I get in to List settings, get into "Enterprise Metadata and Keywords Settings" option- I see that there is no check mark for "Add an Enterprise Keywords column to this list and enable Keyword synchronization". I wanted to enable it but I get below error message

    Hi @Srikanth Ravada ,
Here are steps to setup Enterprise Keywords in SharePoint, please check:

    1. List setting -> click on Enterprise Metadata and Keywords Settings
    2. Click on Add an Enterprise Keywords column to this list and enable Keyword synchronization(If enabled, it will be greyed out.)

    3. Advanced Settings->choose Yes next to Allow management of content types
    4. There was a metadata column called Enterprise Keywords added to the list.

Since we can't reproduce your situation, we need to narrow down the problem and try some things.

    1. Whether all SharePoint lists have the same problem? You could create a new SharePoint list to check.
    2. Try to use a different browser or your browser's InPrivate mode to see if the same error occurs.
    3. Are other users with permissions facing the same problem? View through another computer or account.
    4. Check if the same issue occurs with other new SharePoint site collections.
