Client Push install failure

Question

Client installation via Client Push fails on some of the machine. Following error on ccmsetup.log

These machines are connected Via VPN. about 50 % of them went through fine but the rest fail with the above error. I do not see any blocks on the Firewall. 445 SMB and 135 allowed.

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.
ERROR_WINHTTP_TIMEOUT is indicative of something at the network layer, and thus outside the scope of control or visibility of ConfigMgr. The client is not receiving any responses from the server. We may need to examine the entire network path from the client agent to the management point.

I thought I had fixed the firewall policies as some of the machines were going through fine. It took a little while to realize that it was failing only when a specific set of users are logged in, we had user specific policies defined which had to be fixed
