Hello, @Shaheen Nalakath !
Why can't I delete a user from a published Azure Lab Services Lab?
Confirming what @JimmySalian-2011 has said, you should be able to delete a user quickly by selecting the user, clicking on Delete at the top, and then waiting a short period of time (maybe 10 to 20 seconds in my case). If this fails, then there may be an issue that we need to investigate. You can create a support ticket or reach out to us here on Microsoft Q&A to investigate.
Edit: In this case, it appears the user being deleted had a VM in a stuck state which prevented Azure Lab Services from releasing the resources in use by the user prior to deleting them. We were able to delete and recreate the VM that was affected.
To help with troubleshooting, we may ask for the following information:
- Is the Azure Lab Services lab based on a lab account or a lab plan?
- Can you provide the lab resource ID or correlation/request ID from the affected Azure Lab Services lab? (see bottom screenshot below for instructions)
After publishing the Lab Services lab, select the user and click on Delete
After a minute or so, the user should be deleted
Get the correlationId
or resourceId
by going to the Activity log, clicking on the Operation name (Delete users), going to the JSON tab, and searching for correlationId
or resourceId
