How can I attach a managed disk to a Machine Learning Compute instance?

Hello experts,

I would like to attach a managed disk to my machine learning compute instance. Is that possible?

There is a possible overlap to the question Attach Disk to Virtual Machine, but steps doesn't seem to apply to ML compute instances.

Thanks for reaching out to us. According to the document, I haven't seen any clue about attaching a managed disk to existed compute instance, I am checking internally to find a way to that. Could you please share more information about why you what to do this? Thanks.

Hello,

My application writes to a SQLite file. This file can get large (160Gb). For some reason that is unclear to me, the application rejects writing to the mounted filesystem (/mnt//mnt/batch/tasks/shared/...), leaving me to work with a local drive (/dev/sdb1 since /dev/sda1 is usually small), which contains a DATALOSS_WARNING_README.txt file explaining that application data should not be stored in that drive.

The correct way of working it out, if I correctly understood, is by attaching managed disks.

Could you please clarify what I should do?
You mean to create a virtual machine outside Azure ML (with a managed disk) and attach it? Or do you mean to attach a HDInsight?
