How can I attach a managed disk to a Machine Learning Compute instance?

Hello experts,

I would like to attach a managed disk to my machine learning compute instance. Is that possible?

There is a possible overlap to the question Attach Disk to Virtual Machine, but steps doesn't seem to apply to ML compute instances.

Could you please clarify what I should do?
You mean to create a virtual machine outside Azure ML (with a managed disk) and attach it? Or do you mean to attach a HDInsight?
