What could be the possible causes for a pull subscription of snapshot replication unable to access the unc shared folder remotely but a pull subscription is able to access the unc shared folder and replicate successfully?
Where do I troubleshoot at the remote server of the folder?

    Hi @Cindy See ,

Please refer to this MS document: Distribution Agent Security. Here are the points I want you to notice.
For pull subscriptions, the account must at minimum be a member of the db_owner fixed database role in the subscription database.
The Windows account or SQL Server account used for the connection must:

    1. Be a member of the PAL.
    2. Have read permissions on the snapshot share.

    Best regards,
    Seeya

Hi Seeya, May I verify with you on the account that you referred in the earlier message is the local windows account of the remote publisher server(which is a publisher as well as distributor) or the local windows account of the subcriber server?

If it is the local windows account of the remote publisher server, it is a member of PAL and have read permissions on the snapshot share.

If it is the local windows account of the subscriber server, could you show me the steps? These two servers do not reside in the same domain. Thanks
