Compiling Windows IOT core on WSL 2

Is there any reason why I should switch to WSL 2 for compiling the drivers for Windows IOT Core? Does it change how the compile works or should I just use WSL 1?

    You should compile the drivers using Visual Studio.

    Is the question regarding NXP IoT Core?
