    Hi, NH-6823

Yes - it is also applicable for Standard.

"You need at least 2 cores in licenses with Software Assurance to be eligible for at least 1 SQL Database."

Your best bet is to use the Hybrid Use Calculator: https://azure.microsoft.com/pricing/hybrid-benefit/?WT.mc_id=AZ-MVP-5004796#calculator

To work out your current cores and requirements for SQL, for both EA agreements and CSP under Azure Plan.

Hi NH Thank you for reaching out.

Correct, as mentioned above by @Luke Murray . You are eligible with 2 cores in licenses with SA with a Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) subscription. To use these benefits, your Software Assurance or subscriptions must be active. If you choose not to renew your Software Assurance when it expires, you'll need to remove your benefits from your resources in the Azure portal.
