How to change the folder name (path) of an AzureAD user on Windows 11

Hello,
my name contains special characters and I was having unexpected behaviours of some softwares and I discovered it was given my user name special characters, so I am trying to change it.
I have tested this solution, however as my user is an AzureAD I was not able to rename it as in here, because I dont have the General Tab (Not sure if that only happens for Azure users).

So after that I have tested revert back the changes I have done so far, however when reverting my original initial usernameToChange dont even appear in the start up page to select to what user I want to use, but if I open my my Users List here I can still see this user.

I was able to login using the option other user using my email, but this user is hidden not appearing as an icon.
So here is my question:

  • How to change the folder path of my AzureAD user in windows 11?

Thank you in advance

    Hello,

    Please try the next:

1.You need the Azure AD user to have logged in at least once so its local profile its created. 2.Log out the Azure AD user so its profile files are properly saved. 3.Using a local adminstrator account: 4.Copy the Azure AD user profile to a the new location, ensure proper permissions are set. 5.Modify the registry value of ProfilesDirectory under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList to point to the new location.
