Hi,

I have iSCSI service on Windows Storage Server 2016 Standard.
the Virtual Disk Status always show (Not Connected) or (Error), so I lost my connection to my Virtual volume.
how can I restore the status to Connected?

I already restart the server and the iSCSI services without any result.

    Hi,

Please open iSCSI Initiator from the Start Menu and see if the iSCSI targets are listed in the discovered targets. If not, you can discover the targets using IP addresses or DNS names. Also check if the status of the targets is connected and try connecting again if the target status is inactive.

    Best Regards,

    Hey,

You can try removing your Discovery Portal and Favorite targets and add it from scratch. As the next step, you try connecting to your target. Might help: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/windows-server/backup-and-storage/iscsi-initiator-not-login-to-favorite-targets

As another option, you can use StarWind VSAN as an alternative to create iSCSI target on top of your storage.
