Hello,

Is any option to take VM snapshot in azure same like VMware snapshot ?.

  I need to patch Azure Linux VM before that need to take backup. (For VMware we use VMware snapshot, and in case any issue revert the VM snapshot (5~10Mins), but what is the Option in Azure VMs?.

I got a link -> https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/snapshot-copy-managed-disk?tabs=portal
To recover snapshot need to covert to disk and swap the root disk . Is there any simple way to restore VM?

Regards,
Vijay

    Azure Backup (https://learn.microsoft.com/azure/backup/backup-overview?WT.mc_id=AZ-MVP-5004796) or the snapshot create and revert the disks, as you alluded to.

    You can, however, use WVDAdmin (https://blog.itprocloud.de/Windows-Virtual-Desktop-Admin/), which can make the snapshot backup and restore process a lot more automated, similar to the VMWare snapshot create and restore.
