Team, Recently using Sandbox environment I created a VM. But after that when i tried to connect to the VM using RDP option, i was getting the below error. As suggested i also tried to add the inbound rule. But still it didnt work. Kindly assist how to solve this issue. Attaching the ss here.
Hi,
You don't have permission to create resource group in sandbox.
On Networking tab, did you add inbound port rule for 3389? This is required so that you can connect using RDP.
Which specific learning module are you working on? Please post the URL.

@TP I didnt create any resource group. I resued the existing resource group.
Also i added the inbound rule for 3389. But still it didnt work. Below is the url from which im trying.

Okay, the error was likely triggered by your attempt to use the connection troubleshooting tool. Give me few minutes and I'll test that module myself.
What error did you receive from Remote Desktop client when you tried to connect? Are you behind any type of corporate firewall that may be blocking outbound RDP?
@Kakkan Sujitha I tested and I was successfully able to create the VM and connect to it via RDP using the precise instructions in the exercise.
Please answer my questions regarding the error message you are seeing and if you are behind any firewall that may be blocking your connection.
@TP What error did you receive from Remote Desktop client when you tried to connect? - I got Internal Server Error.
I do have firewall setup which might be blocking this. But not sure what exactly to check for this issue?
If it's firewall installed on your machine, you may try temporarily disabling it just to test if you can connect. Or you could try from a different machine by entering the public ip address for your VM (shown in portal on overview tab). That error is difficult to troubleshoot. It doesn't sound like you did anything wrong in creating the VM. There is likely something unique about your PC and/or network that is preventing connection.
Your sandbox will be expiring soon if it hasn't already so you may need to activate a new sandbox and repeat the exercise.
