Server 2022 pagefile sizing

Good afternoon, all!

I have a 2022 virtual server that will be running DHCP chores for two scopes. The server is currently waiting for migrations and is essentially idle.

I've been getting monitoring notices occasionally - The value '92.83' was detected ('\Paging File [_Total]\% Usage' Greater than 92)" within the policy "Operating System: Windows Server." I've been monitoring the pagefile size in the server and it's currently 2432 MB - the VM is configured with 8GB memory.

I can increase the pagefile size to the recommended size or leave Windows to manage that and just look at the occasional pagefile warning as chaff.

Any thoughts on whether to manually adjust the pagefile or not?

Thanks!

Gregg

    Something here could help.

if it were me I'd leave it as system managed. These days windows does a really good job of keeping things in check here.
