Hello,

i need to give a domain user permission to modify printers ports.
I made user member of administrators, domain admin, enteprise admins, schema admins but he still cannot modify printers ports.
What I forget?
Better if I can create one user with the same permission of administrator.

Thanks,
Alessandro

    Hello there,

What is the error message the users are getting when they try to change the ports?

Users in the Administrators group can configure the print security settings directly by editing the print server access control list (ACL) permissions in the Print Management Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in.

To view the ACL permissions for your printer server, open Server Manager, click Tools, and then click Print Management. In the left pane, click Print Servers, right-click the applicable print server and then click Properties. In the Print Server Properties dialog box, click the Security tab.

Hope this resolves your Query !!

Hi, proactive you may need to give the Manage Printer on the printer and if they need access to other printers in the future Manage Printers on the server.
