I would like to know the maximum number of session hosts per host pool. The following have been confirmed

  1. Docs (MSlearn) The following site mentioned that the Service Limit is 10,000. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-resource-manager/management/azure-subscription-service-limits
  2. Create a host pool (AzurePortal) I entered a value of 500 or more as a trial, and the following message appeared. "The value must be between 1 and 500."

I would like to know why we cannot create more than 500 session hosts and why the limit is 10,000 units. I assume the latter is because of the vCPU cap per subscription, though.

    @Zen

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform, thanks for posting your query here.

    You are seeing this error "The value must be between 1 and 500." if you enter more than 500 because you will need to "Add" additional session hosts to the pool to go above that 500 template limit, upto 10k.

    Hope this helps. If you need further help on this, tag me in a comment. If the suggested response helped you resolve your issue, please 'Accept as answer', so that it can help others in the community looking for help on similar topics.
