Hello everyone here,

My name is George Anderson, I need some suggestions from you guys. I am actually looking for the best laptop for video editing for my brother. My budget for the same is around $500 with all good specifications.

I read all the information on laptops for video editing from https://www.lenovo.com/gb/en/faqs/workstations/best-laptop-for-video-editing/. But looking for more suggestions from you all.

Not really the best place for this type of question, but:

If we go by "the best video editing laptop" you'd already be looking at over $500. The best laptop for video editing for $500, honestly, probably wouldn't be very ideal unless you're just doing simple editing of video shortening, basic transitions, text overlays, and such. But this is all dependent on what kind of videos you'll be editing, how/workflow, and etc. as this would determine what laptop specs to consider. Intel has a pretty good write up (linked below) on specs to look for/consider for video editing and provides a basic, good, better chart of specs. The only thing I would suggest is at least a minimum of 16GB of RAM and to have a dedicated GPU.

I shall always prefer Mac over Windows as far as video editing is concerned.
