Data Permissions for current worksheet

I am working on multiple environments on the same worksheet. I frequently use Excel.CurrentWorkbook function to get lookup data that I manually feed. When I try to refresh it on the different environment the Data Permission of the Current workbook is always defaulted to "None". I couldn't find a solution to this I keep changing the Data Feed Permissions to Private. I don't really understand how this effects the handling of data really should I just select all permissions to None
