(SharePoint server 2019)

I need the Adobe files within the document libraries on my communications site set to open up in Adobe Reader rather than in the browser as users will need to fill out and sign each pdf. Some users have to receive a lot of guidance when the pdf doesn't open directly up into the Adobe reader. What would be the best way to rectify this in Firefox primarily as well as Microsoft Edge. Please detail or provide screenshots for understanding.

Thank you in advance!!!

Yes each user's windows settings default apps would need to be updated. Something here could help with that.
