Hello,

i have problem, that SCCM clients if they are not connected with VPN are unable to comunicate with SCCM and give status info about software, updates, Defender e.t.c.

Looking for some solution, one option would be to make SCCM available from public network so clients can comunicate with SCCM server, but that involves some risks, and maybe some additional infrastructure implementations.

Do any of you have some best practice or solution how to make SCCM clients able to communicate to SCCM server ?
maybe there are some way to use azure infrastructure or something like that so clients will talk to SCCM thru Azure ?

    Hi,

Yes, if it's easier to join the clients to Azure AD, we can manage them through Cloud management gateway (CMG). For more information, please refer to the official articles:

Plan for internet-based client management in Configuration Manager

Thanks for your time. Have a nice day!

    Best regards,

    Simon
