Unable to install SQL Server (Developer) 2022 on Windows 11 - Exit Code(Decimal): -2067413173

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to install SQL Server (Developer) 2022 after having upgraded my machine to windows 11. It was previously installed on windows 10 and was working completely fine. Then I heard that some issues happen for installed instances, so I removed it using the wizard and after upgrading I tried to reinstall it again but got that error.

I have attached the log details (Detail.txt) and summary (Summary.txt). I would be thankful to get any kind of help with that issue.

Note: The PC is joined on a domain-controlled environment and Sophos endpoint is installed but the same thing was there when I first installed SQL Server (Developer) 2022 on windows 10.

Hi @Ahmed Samy

On systems running Windows 11, some new storage devices and device drivers will expose a disk sector size greater than the supported 4-KB sector size.

Hi @LiHongMSFT-4306 ,

Thanks for mentioning that, but I already tried to check that and as you can see from the next screenshot of the drive that contains my SQL server instance that I don't have such problem. The value of PhysicalBytesPerSectorAtomicity is 4096 which indicates a sector storage size of 4 KB.

If you have any other ideas about the cause of such issue, I'd be really grateful.

As said in the article:

The PhysicalBytesPerSectorForAtomicity and PhysicalBytesPerSectorForPerformance you post are different.
