Hello,

I have a Dell Windows 10 laptop, and android 11 cell phone.

For a few years, I would charge my cell phone, using a USB cable, on my laptop. But for some reason, my cell phone will not charge on my laptop anymore. I have tried using different laptop ports. But my phone still charges using a portable charger or a wall socket.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Thank you.

It is recommended that you reinsert the data cable or replace it with another one.

You may try the same with any other desktop (choose the port at the back) or, laptop.

You may also try changing the cable.

It might be the power settings on your laptop. Depending on the power settings your laptop might disable high power using USB devices to preserve battery.
