I have posted a question today, and I was trying to delete (due to sensitivity), but it does not have a link or option.
I think, since yesterday, all Microsoft Q&A site has changed, and it does not have "delete' option (or I cannot locate?).
I posted some json data which became really hard to edit, so I ended up Reported the question (to not display), now it would not give me any option to edit at all.
I tried to look for a way to contact "site support", but I am not able to find anywhere to contact.
According to this link, I need to be a moderator to delete content? I am not sure that is a good idea.

Currently, if I type the URL of my previous post (which has HIPPA (personal/sensitive data), it still shows up.
I am worried about this.

I just took care of it.
I'm struggling a bit as well with the new editor and markdown. Try toggling the "View" and look for misplaced back ticks (or other)
Can I ask you something?
It appears that the main URL for the post shows that the "Content has been deleted", but when I load the URL with
[https://...edit/XXXXX (post number) , it still shows the content. (deleted the whole URL info later for sensitivity)
Is there way to delete the data?

@Dave Patrick Thank you so much! I just realized it. Meanwhile, I think the new Q&A site needs some improvement as far as how deletion should be done.
Also, I am not sure about "Select Development Language" option (for Markdown language) whenever I tried to post a code or some type of expression. It is little bit confusing.
I am not sure it is really user-friendly or not. Also, if somehow, if it is pasted as mark-down, it is really hard to edit.

Based on this question and thread, I will add a feature request for the team to consider allowing the option for the original poster to delete their own content.

Thank you Rich. Yea, I think everyone is so used to having the 'delete' feature in any of community site, so it was really surprising (not having one). If someone accidentally added some confidential data, user should able to delete right away (instead of editing).
Also, I am not sure whether I should create another thread, but the @name... does not populate properly (like yours, or even people in offshore).
Going back to my previous inquiry, is there way to delete the data of my post?

I am afraid that, knowing that data still exists by just typing URL, I would get into a trouble. It is HIPPA data.
I was trying to delete and save, but it would not let me because the post was flagged (reported).

I think Dave already removed the post in question from the site - as for the tagging feature - I am discussing that with the team based on what I have seen in some other threads. As necessary, a bug will get filed to look into it further.

@Dave Patrick I refreshed now, and it disappeared again. So strange.. Maybe it might have been cache issue. I am not sure because when it appeared again, I refreshed few times and it still showed up.

Likely is a server farm sync issue. Give it some time and it should be gone on all of them.

Probably so. The forums are still pretty rocky and unstable with the recent upgrade.

When you say you have taken care of it, does that mean you have added the need for user Delete to be reinstated to the developers to-do-list, or something else?
I also ran into the need to delete a post but was unable to and it did not merit asking a moderator to do it. I need to delete this reply too but can't!
Beats me why that functionality has been removed from the very people that need it most!
I think this is on the list for the dev team. What I meant be taking care of it was I simply deleted the content for the user.

@Dave Patrick Sorry. I tried clearing the browser cache but still shows up. It shows up time to time (not all the time). So, I am still thinking it still might be something like server farm syc issue, but it had been at least two days since it was deleted.
I just tried an in-private and from that session I can see it is stuck in edit mode with no way out. I've reached out to forums admins for assistance. I'll let you know the result via this post.

The EDIT link brings up your own personal workspace. No one else sees this. I can post a link and screenshots of what is actually in forum backend if you wanted. In short do not use the EDIT link to view what's on site.
I am trying to be very careful data that is available openly in the internet. If you can please help deleting the sensitive data, that would be very appreciated.
Update: It appears that it has been changed. Even I log in, I do not see the page anymore. I guess I am good for now. I will check tomorrow again and let you know if I see the data again.

So far, I do not see all major contents on the original post (as of now), so I am ok, but the status of this particular URL has been changed a lot in last 24 hours. Last night, I still saw the content that had sensitive data. I will keep monitoring tomorrow.
