Cannot open desktop

I uninstalled onedrive using the MS uninstall tool. Then I went through my files deleting the leftover onedrive files.

Then I found that MS still searches for onedrive paths (why on earth didn't uninstall fix this?) so I tried to change Location in individual app Properties. Doesn't work.

Now Windows has decided that Desktop has a onedrive path and won't recognise it. Nor does my Nikon softwear, which is what I swapped from tablet to Windows to use.

Essentially uninstalling onedrivehas rendered my laptop useless. Will a reinstall of Windows fix this?

    Hi @Jon Murray

I find you replied another thread "I uninstalled OneDrive but my files are still redirected to it?", that you do not want to modify any registry value.

Under this case, re-install Windows system or reset Windows system will fix this issue, as the registry value will be recover to the default.
