    Hi,

It depends on the host pool type:

For a Personal host pool, you would use normal Windows 10 Enterprise. With personal host pool it is intended for each user to connect to a single VM, so a single-user windows OS is needed.

For a Pooled host pool, you need to use Windows 10 Enterprise multi-session (or other multi-user windows OS like Windows 11 Enterprise multi-session or Windows Server 2022/2019/2016/etc.). With pooled it is intended for multiple users to connect to each VM, so a multi-user windows OS is needed.

    Win 10 Enterprise multi-session OS.

"Windows 10 Enterprise multi-session, formerly known as Windows 10 Enterprise for Virtual Desktops (EVD), is a new Remote Desktop Session Host that allows multiple concurrent interactive sessions."

"Windows 10 Enterprise multi-session is a virtual edition of Windows 10 Enterprise. One of the differences is that this operating system (OS) reports the ProductType as having a value of 3, the same value as Windows Server. This property keeps the OS compatible with existing RDSH management tooling, RDSH multi-session-aware applications, and mostly low-level system performance optimizations for RDSH environments."
