Hello, I have several virtual machine on a VMware environment which have the same problem: the process Service Host: Local Service (Network Restricted) takes up a lot of RAM memory (es: almost 2GB on a total of 4GB of memory!!!)

The services on this process are:

-Wcmsvc

-Imhosts

-EventLog

-Dhcp

I can't fix it except by restarting. But, you know, I can't restart every server with this problem.

This happen in both Windows 2012 R2 and Windows 2016.

Does someone know how to fix it and why I have this problem?

Thank you.

    Hi,

have you collected a memory dump of svchost process when memory consumption was high? This is first step in troubleshooting process, identify in which region leak is happening, then different techniques can be used to isolate issue and find solution/workaround. Also, how aggressive this leak? Do you happen to collect performance counters on affected machines?
