Cannot log in to Outlook because the verification text message is not sending

I have tried for 5 days in a row to log in to my Live email address, because it is requiring me to verify via text message code. My mobile number has not changed. I have entered the last 4 digits of my number over and over again, but the text message never arrives, so I literally just cannot access my emails!

I had previously ticked the 'do not ask again on this device' box so I have no idea why this is happening.

    If an account access problem then try resetting via the account recovery form https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/help-with-the-microsoft-account-recovery-form-b19c02d1-a782-dee6-93c3-dc8113b20c42

    Use the Get Help app here to chat online with someone by clicking link https://support.microsoft.com/ContactUs then "Windows", then underneath home support click on Get support in the Get Help Windows app

    Looks like your issue is related to account verification code issues. Please kindly understand that the Outlook tag here we mainly focus on general issues about Outlook desktop client.
