Azure Synapse and D365 Business Central integration

Hi all,

we are looking for the best way to read entire tables from D365 Business Central (full cloud) using Azure Synapse Analytics. Our goal is to have each table exported inside the azure data lake so they can be used as data source for the data warehouse (in a similar way of "Export to Azure Data Lake" add-in for D365 for Finance & Operations).

@Ganeo Davide I'm asking myself the same question. In Business Central On-Premises you have direct access to the SQL database, thus also all features that come with SQL database. This means nothing is needed to access any (custom) table from your Business Central. You just write a SQL statement and voilà.

How did you solve this issue in BC SaaS? Are you able to get all the data out of BC SaaS (including custom tables and columns) in a simple way without performance issues?

I have the same request from a customer of ours.

While we can do that as a custom set of 'push' integrations to new tables created in the Dataverse, having a standard way of getting the data out in its entirety to Synapse would be a very useful feature.

Ideally having a setup to select all tables and fields, or check / uncheck the ones needed. SaaS removes this ability that on-prem installations enjoy and makes reporting across often customised Dynamics systems much harder.

I think you can push the D365 Business central entites to Dataverse ( you can refer to the doc : [https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/admin-common-data-service ) once the data is in dataverse , you can use Synapse link to . [https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/data-platform/export-to-data-lake

Using the Dataverse integration, can I export any tables from D365 Business Central? If so, do I have to develop custom entities in order to achive this result? I'm asking this thing because we need many differents table such as "Customer Ledger Entry" or "Item Ledger Entry" and I didn't find anything related to the integration of this tables in the Dataverse.
